K-12 staffing services for school districts

Recruitment and contract talent for the district office: IT and cybersecurity, business office, federal programs, operations and leadership. US-based and background-checked.

Talent for the work behind the classroom

Districts are adjusting to tighter budgets after federal relief funds ended. Many are moving from adding permanent headcount to buying flexible capacity for specific work.

Konnex recruits for the district office. That means IT and cybersecurity staff, business officials and accountants, federal programs and grants staff, facilities and transportation leads and senior district leaders.

We are clear about scope. We do not supply daily substitute teachers or classroom paraprofessionals. National K-12 staffing firms with local W-2 pools serve that need better. We focus on professional roles where a strong search makes the difference.

How it works

4 steps, with a 5 business day shortlist target.

  1. 1Day 1

    Intake

A 30-minute call with the hiring manager. We confirm duties, minimum qualifications, pay range, location and any civil service or screening rules.

  2. 2Days 2 to 5

    Search and screen

Our dedicated sourcing and screening team searches, contacts and interviews candidates. Every candidate is US-based and work-authorized.

  3. 3Target: day 5

    Shortlist

You get 3 to 5 screened candidates with notes on fit, pay expectations and availability. Business days, from a complete intake.

  4. 4Your schedule

    Interview and start

You interview and choose. We run background checks to your requirements, then handle the offer or the contract start and check in after.

Timelines are targets, not promises. Senior or highly specialized roles take longer. Executive searches follow a staged schedule we agree with you before we start.

US-based. Every placement.

Every professional we place with a public agency lives in the US and is authorized to work here. Work for your agency happens in the US, and your data stays in the US.

Common questions

Plain answers for hiring managers, HR and procurement. Still unsure? Ask us directly.

Do you provide substitute teachers?

No. We focus on professional district roles. For daily substitutes and classroom paraprofessionals, firms with local W-2 pools are the better fit.

Do your candidates go through background checks?

Yes. We run checks to your district's requirements and coordinate with your fingerprinting process, which most states require for school employees.

Do you handle student data?

No. A search does not need student records. Placed staff access district systems only under your accounts, your policies and your data agreements.

Can we start with a short contract?

Yes. Many districts start with a contract role to cover a vacancy or a project, then convert or hire permanently.

Can you help with a superintendent or cabinet search?

We support senior searches. See our executive search page for how we work with boards and HR.

Tell us the role. We will send a shortlist.

Share the duties, pay range and start date. We reply within 1 business day with next steps and a written quote.
